Quick & Easy Tips on cleaning with foil

Aluminium Foil to clean ?

here is a wonderful cleaning tip for you to try out.

If you are anything like me, you will hate messing around with silver polish to remove tarnish from your silverware, candlesticks, teapots and that special cutlery set in the cupboard that never gets used. yep I will use them one day!

here is a simple and easy way to deal with your silverware, with a few items you may already have in your kitchen cupboard

A shallow medium bowl ( the depth depends on the size of your silverware you want to clean)

Bicarbonate Soda aka baking Soda

Large saucepan

And our Aluminium foil

Line the bottom of a shallow basin with aluminum foil,  The baking soda and water solution must cover the object you want to clean

Place the tarnished silver on the aluminum foil, as it must be touching the foil for the baking soda and water to work it’s magic.

I have the basin in the sink just in case it overflows

boil a kettle of water add 1/2-1 cup of baking powder to your bowl containing the silver and then pour the boiling water until all the silverware is completely submerged and leave to soak.

Depending on how tarnished your item is, but you will quickly start seeing a difference. Repeat this process if your silver was in very bad condition.
